 What is it?

The Union Council is the highest decision-making body of the Students’ Union. It makes all the vital decisions about what the SU campaigns on and how it functions.
 
Who sits on The Union Council?

Your elected student representatives, namely:

- President
- 4 Vice Presidents (Academic Affairs, Communications, Student Activities and Welfare)
- 5 School/ Faculty chairs
- Postgraduate Students’ Officer
- International Students’ Officer
- Part Time Students’ Officer
- Disabled Students’ Officer
- LGBT Officer
- Mature Students’ Officer
- Environmental and Ethical Officer
- BME Officer
- Women’s Officer
- Students With Dependents Officer
- 5 Non-Portfolio Union Officers
- 10 Halls Councillors
- 20 Faculty Board Councillors
- 3 Sports Clubs Councillors
- 3 Societies Councillors
- 2 Student Volunteer Councillors
- 2 RAG Councillors
- Source Radio Councillor
- Source Newspaper Councillor 
 
When does it meet?

Meetings are every three weeks during term time.
 
Can I get involved?

Yes! All students are welcome to attend and speak at all Union Council meetings.
 
Can I vote if I am not on Union Council?

No, only the people holding the positions above can; but if you are interested in a voting place or to find out more about the Union Council email the President, Rob Wilson, on president.su@coventry.ac.uk.
