Faculty Chairs

There is one Faculty Chair per faculty, they are elected into position and make up the rest of the Executive. It is their responsibility to oversee representation within their Faculty, support other reps and liaise with university staff and the Students’ Union.

As your Faculty Chair, I represent you in all areas of your student experience and ensure that your voice is heard in the highest decision making body of the University. I stand as an interface between the Faculty and the Students' Union, thereby taking up all your complaints, queries and resolutions to the appropriate departments/authorities. I shall also work with the Faculty Dean, Registrar, Heads of Departments, Course Reps & Senior Reps to ensure that the interests of students are well taken care of. I'll be glad to chat with you at any time and all your matters will be treated confidentially.

Chidimma Okoye

I am Chidimma Okoye, studying Masters in Biomedical Technology. It is indeed, a privilege and honour to be the Health and Life Science (HLS) Faculty chair. I have the opportunity to make changes in the faculty where needed. I cannot do it alone, I need you all to work with me. I need you for the desired changes to be met. I need you to feel free to express yourself to me, your deputy faculty chairs, course reps and in meetings. I will make sure your views are aired in order to achieve its desired aim. I am here to serve you because without you there will be no Coventry University Students' Union (CUSU) and no Coventry University. It is all about you so don't keep quiet.

Hello, I'm Martin and I'll be your new Faculty Chair for the Business, Environment and Society Faculty. My role this year will be to maintain a liaison between the Faculty and the Students’ Union. I'll be working alongside Emmanuel, Senior Reps and Course Reps to enhance your academic experience as well as resolve any issues which may arise within our Faculty. Tom Fisher

Hi I’m Tom and I am your Faculty Chair for this year. I am in my second term of office as Faculty Chair and continuing the work I began in the role last year. I’ve been a Course Rep for 3 years and have also played an active role in the Students’ Union over the years. I am the link between your Faculty Deans, lecturers and tutors and the Students Union. It’s my job to ensure that your concerns and issues are dealt with so that you get the teaching you deserve. I will endeavour to answer any questions that you may have, or direct you to the appropriate staff who can deal with them directly. Through me, Adrien, Emmanuel and the rest of the Senior Course Rep team I hope to maintain a pro-active year of study.
