Which will open the games to a timetable of continental themed hours, during which interactive food demonstrations and tasters will be provided by the Love Food Hate Waste campaign, music, entertainment and dance will accompany, adding to the experience and allowing you to indulge yourself into different cultures.

 Road to 2012
http://roadto2012.npg.org.uk/

The Road to 2012 is a National Portrait Gallery focused on exploring the journey towards the 2012 Olympics. At Coventry, we are looking for our journey, up to and including our events, to be documented, portraying 'inspiration' for the games. The photos can then be shared through Flickr. Details of which are available on the website and for Coventry, it would be good to share them on the Facebook group and website.

Prizes permitting, it would be good to make this into a competition, but until we have sorted that, it might be ideal to hang fire on the competition idea.

Film Nation
http://www.filmnation.org.uk/

A national competition, which is looking for films up to three minutes long, inspired by the Olympic and Paralympic Values of respect, excellence, friendship, courage, determination, inspirations and equality, as well as the new theme, truce. The films will be uploaded on the national website and entered into the competition. The films with the most 'likes' will get considered for the Film Nation Short Awards, with a chance to get the film screened at iconic sporting venues during the Olympic games. Getting academic backing for this project will be ideal, as well as our best films potentially being screened during our events.
