Actionnaires
Actionnaires provides practical support, advice, holiday breaks and children’s sports clubs for visually impaired young people throughout the UK. Coventry has a sports and leisure club that provides visually impaired children with the opportunity to take part in a huge range of sports supervised by qualified sports coaches.

Coventry Godiva HarriersAC

The Club is the premier athletics club in the City and they are the oldest established athletics club in Coventry.  They compete at local, regional and national levels and provide competition in running, throwing and jumping and the training for these activities for the ages of 8 upwards.

Coventry Swimming Club

Coventry Swimming Club promotes the teaching, development, and practice of swimmingand water polo.  They also organise and run competitions and galas.

Henley Netball Club

Henley Netball Club have produced players and teams that have endured success at County, Regional and National Level.  They have produced numberous players who have represented their country at both junior and senior level.  More recently some of the younger players have been selected to go to the England Camp!

Old Coventrians RFC

The club has excellent facilities including floodlights for Rugby Union.  Since the introduction of league rugby, OCRFC has made steady progress over recent years at the senior level.  Old Coventrians RFC has a policy of encouraging young players to join the thriving junior section in order to develop their future playing strength and welcome new players from 6 to 17 to join in on Sunday mornings.

Right to Play

Right to Play is an athlete-driven international humanitarian organisation that uses sport and play as a tool for development of children and youth in the most disadvantaged area of the world. The programme aims to improve the lives of children affected by poverty, war and disease. They work closely with communities to set up sport and play programmes designed to teach important skills e.g. leadership, teamwork, communication, conflict resolution, respect and fair-play.

Rugby Football Union
vRugby is a new National initiative launched by the Rugby Football Union aiming to involve over 3000 young people (16-25) in volunteering opportunities across the country. Volunteers will run exciting and diverse ‘bite size’ rugby- based projects that really benefit their club or local community.

 

Sported

Sported is a national charity providing capacity-building and grant-giving services to the community sports sector.  The West Midlands region of the project is currently being piloted in Coventry before being rolled out to the entire region.  Staff and volunteers work one-to-one with beneficiary groups, such as community groups and charities, and provide support services meeting their individual needs.

Sporting Chances
Sporting Chances offers young people aged 16-25 the opportunity to volunteer their time to run sports and physical activity sessions in deprived areas of the city. Sporting Chances seeks to reduce crime and anti-social behaviour levels in the communities in which it operates. It aims to improve health and well being and reduce obesity levels through better access to organised sporting provisions. 

V Cricket

The V Cricket programme introduces young people into cricket, offering a broad range of volunteering opportunities, providing enjoyable, enhancing and sustainable programmes for both volunteers and clubs.  If you are thinking about seeking employment, working in sport, or generally improving yourself, cricket clubs can provide the perfect opportunity to help reach your goals and objectives.  You don't need any specific qualifications or experience, just a willingness to help!
