As one of the UK’s leading children’s charities, Barnardos work directly with over 115,000 children, young people and families every year. They run 394 vital projects across the UK, including fundraising, counselling for children, fostering and adoption services, vocational training and disability inclusion groups.
Marie Curie cancer care
Marie Curie is best known for its network of Marie Curie Nurses working in the community to provide end-of-life care, totally free for patients in their own homes. Employing more than 2,700 nurses, doctors and other healthcare professionals, Marie Curie Cancer Care expects to provide care to around 27,000 terminally ill patients in the community and in its 10 hospices this year and is the largest provider of hospice beds outside the NHS. Marie Curie also has scientists who are at the forefront of cancer research.
MS Society
The Coventry & District Branch of the MS Society provides a wide range of support and information to people affected by multiple sclerosis, their families and carers. This includes providing grants for equipment, respite care, physiotherapy and counselling.
