► Resources for Schools

The Volunteering and Employability department (formerly Horizon Volunteering) have managed to develop and sustain a successful, multi-faceted schools volunteering project thanks to the funding which has been provided by Aimhigher Coventry and Warwickshire over a number of years. The final funding period, which supported the school-based volunteering programmes between August 2008 and July 2011 finally ended on July 31st 2011.

Despite the end to Aimhigher funding in July 2011, the schools volunteering programme will still continue in 2011- 12 and as part of our continuing commitment to developing the relationship and support we offer to local schools we have created online support for the schools we work with.

The school support pages on this website are designed to help school teachers find out more about the volunteering projects in schools and to help them get the most out of the opportunities offered by the Volunteering and Employability office at Coventry University Students' Union. The following pages also aim to answer potential school queries and create an additional support mechanism for staff in primary, secondary and special educational needs schools.
