What is it?
Student Council is the highest decision-making body of the Students’ Union. It makes all the vital decisions about what the SU campaigns on and how it functions.
Who sits on Student Council?
Your elected student representatives, which include:
- The four Vice Presidents
- Four Faculty chairs
- Postgraduate Students’ Officer
- International Students’ Officer
- Part Time Students’ Officer
- Disabled Students’ Officer
- LGBT+ Officer
- Mature Students’ Officer
- Environmental and Ethical Officer
- BME Officer
- Women’s Officer
- Students With Dependents' Officer
- Student Officers
- Halls Councillors
- Faculty Councillors

When does it meet?
There are usually three meetings in the first term, three in the second term and two in the third term
Can I get involved?
Yes! All students are welcome to attend and speak at all Student Council meetings.
Can I vote if I am not on Student Council?
No, only the people holding the positions above can; but if you are interested in a voting place or to find out more about the Student Council contact your elected representatives.
