Blessed Pepple, Acting President
What's the Online Buddy Scheme?
Starting at University can be daunting: a new course, a new city, even a new country! The Online Buddy Scheme matches up new students with current students who can offer peer support via messaging (WhatsApp, Facebook, or Email).
When you sign up for a Buddy you'll answer a few questions to help us find your match. You might want someone who is studying a similar course, or is from the same country. We can't always guarantee we'll meet your preferences but we'll try our best!
As a Buddy you'll have a chance to pass on knowledge and support, and generally help a new student settle into life at Coventry.
I'm a New Student
Sign up to be matched with a current student from your course, country, or just a fellow student!
The scheme is open to all students: undergraduate and postgraduate, home and international, and all years of study.
I'd like to be a Buddy
Are you a current student who would like to offer peer support to a fellow student? Apply now to pass on knowledge and advice, and generally be a friendly face your Buddy can talk to.
Being an Online Buddy is a great way to volunteer your time to help someone. It will mean a small time commitment each week to respond to or contact your Buddy.

I'm a postgraduate/mature/online student, can I still join?
Yes! The scheme is for all Coventry students.
My Buddy has asked or said something and I'm not sure what to say or do

The University has a list of protection and safety services you can contact if you need to.
