Men's Rugby Union

CURFC is one of the more elite sporting clubs at the university, which finds the correct balance between performance and social, so no matter if you’re a serious player or more of a social member there will always be a place for you.

Everyone is welcome to be a part of CURFC whether or not you’re a seasoned veteran or a beginner, there will be plenty of opportunities to play and contribute towards the club.  We pride ourselves on being a balanced club in terms of performance and socials, where no matter who you are you will enjoy every aspect the club has to offer.

We have two teams competing to a high standard in BUCS and we are looking to add our 3rd team to BUCS in the coming seasons allowing future 3rd team player to play regularly and at a good standard.

In the 2014/15 season the club was able to gain promotion to Midlands 1A, as well as winning the club that season.

We also played our 2017/18 varsity match against Warwick (Video below) at the Ricoh arena, which we hope to do again in the coming season.

We have been developing our links with Wasps RFC, shown by varsity at the Ricoh, as well as other local teams such as Cov Saracens and Broadstreet.

Come along to our trials on Sunday 30th September 2018. We will be meeting at Coventry Leisure Centre at 1pm and heading down to Coventrians RFC, CV6 1DY. The trials will last until 4pm. Transport is provided. Wear playing kit/tracksuit, wear boots, gumshield and a water bottle. Trials are £5 which everyone needs to pay online.
