Community & Inclusion Roles

We have many opportunities for you to contribute to our work to create positive change, from being a Sustainability Champion or Liberation Officers to taking part in some Craftivism or joining a campaign.

The roles on this page all offer opportunities to develop skills and experience which lead to a Leadership Award, all while making the student experience better for all!

The Roles

  • Liberation Leads

    Lead on campaigns and representation for a liberation community.

    We have liberation communities for Black, Asian & Minority Ethnic Students, Disabled Students, LGBTQ+ Students, Self-Supporting Students, Students with Responsibilities, and Women Students.

  • Student Wardens

    Building connections with the local community.

    Student Wardens work with residents groups in the local community to improve relationships between students and residents with patrols, campaigns, and outreach programmes.

  • Sustainability Champions 

    Creating change for a sustainable future.

    Sustainability champions work with CUSU and the university to implement sustainability projects and initiatives across campus, from events to activism.

    Interested in taking a lead on any of our campaigns, or running your own? We will support you with training, and resouces to lead campaigns and make lasting change on campus.
