Comedy Central Live is heading to Coventry on the 1st Saturday of Every month.
We're bringing some of the best stand-up comedians in the UK to Square One, right in the heart of Coventry city centre.
March is just around the corner, which means it is almost the beginning of spring and another night of comedy is back for the first Saturday of the month at Square One! The night brings another new line up of comedians from Comedy Central to kick start your month with a barrel of laughs. With tickets starting from £7.50 on sale now for 2nd March, it is a night not to be missed.
Your MC for the night is Joshua Jones, only a year and a half into the comedy circuit he has already achieved great things. In 2016 he was a Chortle Student Comedy award Finalist. He has been described by fans as a ‘rising star’, and being ‘sharp’. Joshua is destined for big things, so take your chance to see him now!
The first act announced is Andrew Ryan, stand-up comedian, presenter and writer. Born in Ireland Andrew Ryan is immensely popular across the UK and Ireland. He made his debut at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2012, where he received raving reviews. Since then he has performed on Russell Howards good News, on BBC Three, and in 2018 he won Best New Show at the Leicester Comedy Festival. Daily Record have said he is ‘Hard not to enjoy’, giving him 4 stars for his show Perfectly Inadequate, which sold out at Edinburgh Festival. With excellent storytelling and delivery he is not one to be missed.
The second act announced is Matt Rees, a Welsh Comedian. In 2012 he won Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year. He has been described by the Glee club as having ‘Potential to make it to the very top’. He also performed as part of the Pleasance Reserve at Edinburgh Fringe 2012. With quick wit and jokes we can all relate to, he will be a great addition to this already great line up.
The final act is Gareth Richards, he first started back in 2004 and since then has become a well-known comedian. He was runner up for Amused Moose laugh off 2007, and runner up for Hackney Empire New Act of the Year 2007. Gareth has been described as ‘An effortlessly assured act, exceptionally inspired and truly memorable. He has appear on Russel Howards Good News, Live at the electric and has performed live on BBC Radio 1. Since 2010 he has had a solo act at the Edinburgh Fringe every year. This well experience comedian is sure to make your night ends on a high.
