Black History Month 2021

October is the start of Black History Month in the UK, running from the 1st to the 31st. At Coventry University Students’ Union, we are using this month to shine a light on the diversity of our Black student communities, as well as launching new projects that intend to make tangible change, not just during Black History Month, but far beyond it.

Want to fight for a safer campus? Join us in our action against sexual misconduct and violence.

Last year, following the murder of Sarah Everard, CUSU ran a series of action groups where students and staff of all genders were encouraged to discuss their personal concerns and experiences of sexual misconduct, gender based violence, and harassment. We're continuing to implement the changes suggested, and are launching a new action group for staff and students. It's time to make change.
