VICE PRESIDENT EDUCATION BLOG
The month of December was a great month. I attended quality in learning and teaching committee meeting where the papers written by the Reps Department was deliberated upon. These papers were on our response to BME attainment Gap, How CUSU could improve NSS score. Happy to announce both papers have been approved by the university.
I travelled out of the country for Christmas break. On my arrival, I had a meeting with Richard Hiller to discuss Black attainment gap and how to create a proper strategic research paper.
Furthermore, I attended different induction talks during the second week in January and encourage students to get involve with the students’ union. Later that week, the executive team and I conducted exam stress campaign where we gave out free water and fruits.
Later, I attended employability committee meeting where we discussed on our future goals, such as; Leadership awards, Employability conference and survey for postgraduate students to make enquires on their interests in Add+vantage Modules.
Currently writing up motions for All Students Meeting (ASM) to ensure we have a better student experience at Coventry University.
I end the update with this quote ‘The important thing is to remember that we should always stand for something, unless we will fall for anything’’.
