Abidul, A third-year Course Representative and Global Business Management student.
“I chose to get involved with the Students’ Union because I could see that students wanted to be able to make a change on campus and I to wanted to do that and by becoming a Course representative which meant I could directly provide my feedback to my academics. Over the last year or so I’ve been involved in the Arab Society as well as being the Vice President for the Global Business Management (GBM) society. I think it’s important that CUSU is providing the opportunities for students to learn and teach each other about the different cultures of campus, broadening our understanding personally but also how to apply that to the work we do. Since becoming a Course rep I’ve been able to see how effective the rep system is, seeing that our feedback is making a difference and not only improving the courses we do but improving the things we get to do on campus like social events. I’ve been given the opportunity to develop myself and thanks to the GBM develop skills to aid my studies”
