Meet Funmi our third student feature, MBA Global Business management student and a recent candidate in our spring elections.
“One of my first times getting fully involved with CUSU was running for the full-time post of Vice President of Community and Welfare. I wanted to be elected so I could be the first full-time officer to make a change for the satellite campus’ as students here are just as important and deserve the same representation as students at the main campus and believed I would be able to make that change. Since nominating myself for the elections I also signed up to be a Course Representative as I could see that the Rep system on campus was the most effective way to make change happen on campus. I could make connections with the academics and other students and further enhance my experience at Coventry University London. CUSU, in my opinion, is the best way to interact with students and collect feedback. Event the name Students’ Union has a sense of emotional intelligence and connection into attracting students to engage with the platform. The staff work hard on focusing on how to build the trust of students to get honest opinions so that can provide and/or work hard to provide what students really want.
