What a great talk we had last night! Whitney Tilson has asked me to share the attached articles (which are excellent). As well as asking you to join his coronavirus mailing list by sending a blank e-mail to: email@example.com. Finally, I would recommend joining his daily investor mailing list here: https://bit.ly/2Uk1RSG
Your Society Committee has taken the decision to postpone our remaining guest speaker events: How To Succeed in Business and Property with Mike Winnet and Vanessa Warwick, Leadership Lessons from British Army Officers and A Life in Leadership with John Latham CBE. We have taken this step because we feel it is not worth putting our guest speakers at risk, most of whom are several decades older than ourselves. We will endeavour to welcome these speakers to the Society in the next academic year.
Our meetings on Monday 23rd and Monday 30th March (at 6pm) will consist of sessions in the Trading Floor (WMG34), where we will be performing stock analysis and searching for investments. As usual, we will also be going for free pizza at Quids Inn, if we are able to.
This Wednesday we have a games night at Bishop Gate Student Accommodation (Tower Street, CV1 1AJ), where we will be playing Robert Kiyosaki's very enjoyable Cashflow game and of course Monopoly. We start at 6pm and I hope to see you there to relieve some stress! All are welcome! (This was previously incorrectly advertised as occuring at Godiva Place).
Our trips to the National Landlord Investment Show and the Master Investor Show have been postponed, please refer to your trip leader who will have details of the refunding of deposits in the next couple of days.
Our First Aid session on Saturday 28th March is still going ahead at this point in time, we will e-mail those signed up if this changes though.
Please follow us on Instagram @cuinvestmentsociety for up to date information on the Society's activities.
Just a warning that this is a particularly busy mailing week, as I will be e-mailing you all a special personal note on Friday so watch out for that. Also, look out for a regular Gosford Street Journal this Sunday of course.
All the very best,
