One of the Student Union’s key partners is the Coventry University’s Careers Team.

A team of specialist careers advisers are based on the first floor of The Hub next to The Food Court, Mon – Fri, 9am - 5pm (with online/tele appointments available until 6pm on request from your faculty adviser or coach).

Coming up is CareersFest, which runs throughout October, with a wide variety of different careers events to help boost your job search, including the following:

  • Green Careers Fair - October 2

  • Careers in the Creative Industries - October 14

  • The Teaching Fair - October 16

  • The Part Time Job Fair - October 23

  • Discussing Diversity - October 30

The main headline event in the Careers calendar is The Big Fair in Square One, The Hub, on Wednesday October 9 2019 with around 70 employers attracting more than 4,000 students across all year groups and degree disciplines. Last year’s exhibitors included PwC, NHS Leadership Academy, Cancer Research, Mott MacDonald, Accenture, Ocado, Jaguar Land Rover and Coventry Building Society. All organisations in attendance will have live roles (internship, placement and graduate positions) and many will be open to all degree disciplines.

The team also run events in semester 2, however please keep an eye on our events calendar and student portal for further information on these, or contact them directly using the details below.

Careers Consultants and Careers Coaches with specialties in different faculties are available every weekday for face-to-face, Skype, phone or email appointments. You can seek support on career options, job searches, volunteering, CVs, cover letters and application forms, Linkedin profiles and Assessment Centre preparation. You can also receive advice on post graduate study.

Careers CV Cafés are also available three times a week as a drop in in The Hub between 12 – 2pm in semester one. The CV café is ideal for quick queries, such as CV advice. No prior booking is required.
