What is a CUSU Peer Mentor?

CUSU Peer Mentors offer advice, support and guidance to you on what it is like to be a student at Coventry University, CU Coventry, CU Scarborough, CU London and Coventry University London. Through group sessions and 121's they offer insights into the services and opportunities available to you, hints and tips on making the best of your University experience and 121 sessions to answer your questions.

Why have a mentor?

Having a mentor can help you to feel more confident and motivated throughout your university experience. Having a CUSU Peer Mentor means that you have an extra source of information, to help you feel more empowered to make decisions and access services available to you. Being able to communicate with someone who has gone through similar experiences to you, is a really valuable opportunity for your own development.

How does it work?

Unlike some mentoring programmes, we're giving the power to you. You get to decide who your mentor is, you get to decide when you want to catch up with them and you get to join as many eligible programmes as you wish!

We're using a brand new Peer Mentoring App. Once you're registered, you'll be able to see and join available programmes, view all of the available mentors and decide who you would like to support you based on their profile. You can send them an initial message and/or request a session with them and send them any questions you may have. It's as simple as that.
