The Leadership Award is brand new for January 2019 and is CUSU’s way of making sure you get the recognition you deserve, for the hard work you put above and beyond your studies.
We know going to University is so much more than just getting a degree, and with so many students getting involved with our opportunities, boosting their employability and gaining new skills, we wanted to find a way to make sure that’s recognised. Which is why we’ve launched The Leadership Award!
What exactly is the Leadership Award?
The Leadership Award gives you formal recognition for getting involved with activities beyond your degree, all those skills you have developed outside of your studies could just help you land your dream job! There are 3 levels to the Leadership Award – Bronze, Silver and Gold.
If you’re an active participant within any extracurricular activity, developing your interests, meeting new people and just generally getting stuck in the bronze award could be for you. You are there to help but maybe shy away from formal leadership roles you could be awarded the Bronze Award.
If you’re engaged in some leadership qualities, helping to grow and sustain your extracurricular activity you could be awarded the Silver Award. You could be recognising your progression from actively participating in, getting even more stuck in, building up those personal, organisational, communication and leadership skills.
The Gold Award recognises Coventry University students who have made significant achievements through their extracurricular activities, actively shaping and developing their opportunities, taking the lead and helping to improve Coventry University Students’ Union and beyond.
So if you’ve been involved with anything extra this year make sure you get your application in and get recognised! Applications go live Monday 28th January.
Be more than a graduate. Lead your future.
