The University is funding student-led projects for City of Culture - applications close November 4th!
As City of Culture continues its year-long celebration, students have the opportunity to apply for seed-funding of up to £1000 to deliver projects that engage the university with communities and the wider city.
Projects must clearly incorporate one of the following three themes:
- Cross-generational engagement
- Sustainability in deprived areas of the city
- Entrepreneurial Coventry
Your project will also need support from a staff member to act as mentor through the project as well as support from a CUSU student group (i.e. society, club, community), officer or staff member. Your project should also be aligned with the University's Cultural Strategy.
You should also consider how your projects is deliverable in a Covid secure way.
Previous projects that have been funded by this scheme include:
- Fashion shows
- A skate shop
- A children's book
- An accessible signage project
- A short film about Coventry's coal industry
- Art box subscriptions
- Using Shakespeare as an ESOL tool
- A theatre production
