Alumnight return for the Summer Term and was a fantastic night full of networking, friendship-making and pizza!
What an evening!
On Thursday 16th June, we hosted our third Alumnight event of the year.
Over 80 staff, alumni graduates and students joined us in the Courtyard at the Hub for an evening of networking, friendship building and pizza!
During the two hour event, individuals were equipped with a name badge and encouraged to network and create conversation with people they’d never spoken with before. Staff support and facilitation was provided by Employability Experts from across the Students’ Union and University, answering students questions on all things employability. Popular topics discussed, included:
- Work experience, placements and internships
- Part-time and full-time work
- How to enhance your CV
- Volunteering opportunities
- Add+vantage module choices
- Progressing to the next level of study
- Extra-curricular activities, such as Sports and Society clubs
- Skills development workshops
- How to set up a business
And much more!
It was great to see such a wide variety of individuals in attendance, from all courses and all backgrounds, aiming to enhance their connections and boost their employability.
Thank you to everyone who attended- we hope you enjoyed it!
