What is student media?

Student Media is a part of the Student’s Union at Coventry Campus that is student-led and holds a photography, videography (TV) and radio department. We have their own equipment and radio studio through which we broadcast 24/7 to their own radio app and areas of both Coventry Campus, and CU group.

What can Student Media do for me?

Student Media offers skills workshops and guest speaker events in an effort to increase the skills of our members whilst also offering work experience to put these skills into practice. They offer photography, videography, and radio services to all societies and sports clubs at any point during the academic year.

How much will it cost?

These services are offered for free, however, we do ask that were you to have a little extra budget within your club to make a donation to us. This will be put towards getting more equipment and continuing to invest in our members.

How long in advance do I need to contact Student Media?

You can let us know at least four working days before the event. Try to let us know as soon as you can so we can organize which member/manager will be able to attend your event.

How will I receive the content?

We work with the university OneDrive to upload the content into a folder specifically dedicated for you. This will be divided per member/manager who has attended, with each folder being named after each one of their Instagram handles. This will allow you to know who to tag when using the images. Below is an example of this:

How do I book?

Student Media have a Microsoft Form where you can book what services you need. This is the link:

The following page will show you what the form looks like:

Now what happens?

Student Media will get in contact with you shortly. The form will automatically record your name and email.

How do I go about posting the content?

The content will belong to both Student Media and you unless you’ve specified otherwise. They will be uploading the images with their logo in the corner alongside yours, see the image below for an example.

Were you to have more than one logo (this would be the case if you were working with a specific organization or something similar), it would look like the following image:

Thank you for considering Student Media, if you have any further questions don’t hesitate to contact us at or send us a DM on @cusustudentmedia. We look forward to working with you!
