We are very pleased to announce that we have smashed our BRIT 2021 challenge totals, once again. 660 Coventry University students, alumni and staff have moved over 23,000 miles, over the past eight weeks, to raise awareness for 'Young Mental Health' charities in the UK, including Papyrus, Student Minds, Charlie Waller, and Nightline.
The national challenge has been well received by Coventry University students, and so CUSU Sport Coventry will be continuing the campaign, and the associated fundraising, into semester three.
Sam Ajoku, Sport and Wellbeing Officer said "Congratulations to all our wonderful participants in the BRIT2021 challenge as we racked up an impressive 23,000miles. We at Sport Coventry are thankful for your participation and for inspiring so many people to get moving, which has made a massive impact on our mental and physical health as a collective."
Lisa Bayliss-Pratt, VCO Pro-Vice-Chancellor Faculty of Health and Life Science also added her congratulations and looked forward to where the challenge takes us next: "What an amazing achievement and I’m so delighted to hear that the challenge is continuing to enable more people to get involved."
Huge thanks to all that have contributed... To celebrate the achievements, and to support the vital 'Young Mental Health' charities, please donate here. To add your movements to the ever-growing total, please join our challenge here.
