We kicked off International Womens Day 2019 with a Key Speaker Talk featuring a multitude of inspirational women including: 

Fleur Sexton: Businesswoman of the Year 2017, Deputy Lieutenant representing Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands and Managing Director and co-founder of multi-award winning PET-Xi.

Trish Willets: Nominated for Businesswoman of the Year 2016 Birmingham Awards.  Co-Founder of #Solihullhour with 10,000 Followers. Coventry BID Manager. Regional Partner for the City of Culture 2021. 

Justine Themen: Associate director at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry. Seeking to address work that represents liberation groups.

Holly Matthews: TV actress, award winning vlogger, Business and Mindset coach to female entrepreneurs and a mum to two young children. 

Nichola Hemming: Founder of the Women In Business Network for the Midlands. Ex police officer and domestic abuse survivor. 

Meera Darji - Film director and lecturer, exploring stories across the world.

Our Incredible 'The Future is Balanced Mural'

We also had local graffiti artist Andy Clare visit us at The Hub to Spray Paint our mural, designed exclusively by the Women Students Community! ... We created such as buzz on campus, and the results were stunning! It was great to see so many of you interacting with the mural and sharing your support for IWD!

Finally, our All Dayer at Backhaus-Fargo Village

We had a finale to remember, with an art exhibition, comedy and music all day long at Backhaus & Co in Fargo Village. Incredible female musicians and artists from across the midlands showcased their talents and we we're left spellbound by the creativity on display...
