Hi, my name is Amaka, and I am your Postgraduate Officer for the 2021/22 academic year. I am a pharmacist, and I have worked as a pharmacist in Ghana and Nigeria for five years. Currently, I am studying MSc in Pharmacology and Drug Discovery which hopefully, I will be graduating from in September 2021.
I am very passionate about underrepresented people, as their opinions are not often considered. I will push to increase postgraduate participation and visibility within the campus and improve communication between the PG cohort and the university body. I promise to apply my diligence to contribute to a better student academic experience.
Being Postgraduate Officer
Amaka voices the ideas, concerns and thoughts of Postgraduate students, making sure they are consulted before changes and policies are being implemented. She sits on committees including the Quality in Learning and Teaching Committee (QuILT) and Academic Boards.
