Student Volunteering Week is a national event running from Monday 20th February – Thursday 23rd February and it’s your opportunity to get to know more about volunteering.
Here at CUSU we offer a wide range of volunteering opportunities; from conservation to administration, working with young people to working with old people, and our opportunities can range from 5 minutes, to 5 hours, to 5 weeks, to 5 months, or more! So there is bound to be something that suits your needs.
During our SVW we’ve got something happening every day in The Hub. Plus we’ll have Make A Difference Days running throughout the week giving you the opportunity to try your hand volunteering without having to make a big commitment. Make sure you don’t miss our Volunteering Showcase Event where we will be hosting 12 organisations who are excited to talk to you about their opportunities and what you can get out of them, want more information? Click here. To find out more about what we’ve got going on click the link above.
Throughout the week you’ll get to chat with the volunteering department staff and the Student Volunteer Team. Our Student Volunteer Team are there to help support, promote and develop the Volunteering Department. They help organise events and contribute ideas and suggestions to make sure volunteering is as good as it can possible be. Being part of the Student Volunteering Team is a great way to meet new friends and build on your skills. If you’re interested in joining the team then firstname.lastname@example.org
