We are a diverse community who come together to appreciate the essence of East African culture. What do we do? As East African society, we organise events that promote and embrace East African culture and traditions. Why should you join? East African Society brings a blend of cultural backgrounds together to discuss, reconnect with tradition and explore culture in a vibrant social outlet. This is a chance for all students to come and develop new friendships within the East African society. From creating an environment free of expression and judgement, Exploring current affairs to socials. The Society aims to address the east african gap within business and university. Our goal is to strengthen the unity between each country through celebrations and relatable topics. We will promote our food, music and cultural traditions in order to widen the scope of our experiences. Student can look forward to different activities such as; - Social Outings - Debate Nights - Movie Nights - Cultural Thursdays - Game Nights - Quiz Nights Our usual sessions are on Thursdays from 6-8 every 2 Weeks in the George Elliot building; room GE231/2 directly behind the hub.
