Full-Time Volunteer (Gap Year/Placement)

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

6-12 month full-time placement opportunities in the UK in Social Care settings. Accommodation and subsistence provided. Opportunities include supporting adults or children with disabilities, mentoring young people or helping people who are homeless. Relevant training and support provided.
  • Our volunteers are continuing to support their communities across England, Scotland and Wales during COVID-19
  • Training is continuing online, with new online mentoring and befriending roles available

Support

Project Supervisor on hand to provide day to day support and arrange training. Volunteer Manager based at local Volunteering Matters Office also providing support. Buddying scheme with current local volunteers. Social activities arranged with other Volunteering Matters volunteers

Expenses

Free accommodation plus £40 p/wk to buy food (unless meals provided) plus £35 p/wk towards day to day expenses
