Roaming Tech Support

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

Our roaming tech volunteers provide one-to-one support to people with sight loss, visiting them in their own homes to help them get the most out of technology. They may help customers set up a new device, learn new features or trouble shoot tech problems. Roaming tech volunteers support people local to them.

Hours per week


Hours details

Flexible, appointments are made by the volunteer to suit you and the customer.

Training available

Training on working with and understanding people with sight loss. Training on Assistive Technology that can help people who are blind and partially sighted.

Transport details

Own transport require or use of public transport to get to customer's homes in your local area. Reasonable travel expenses will be paid.

Time commitment

No minimum time commitment, however regular contact is expected with volunteer manager.
