Volunteer Contract Checker
This opportunity takes place between 23 Oct 2019 and 28 Feb 2020. Closing date for applications is 22 Oct.
The Students' Union Advice Centre are offering students the chance to be trained in the skill of tenancy contract checking. We all know that housing plays a huge role in the lives of students and that's why it's essential that they know what they are agreeing to before signing a new tenancy agreement. By being trained to check contracts , you could make a real difference for students and help them avoid signing something they'll later seriously regret!
This will be an ongoing opportunity with a flexible approach to volunteering hours. Volunteers will be asked to support with pop up contract checking sessions that will run on campus from November 2019 - February 2020.
Training will be offered by experienced student advisers who specialise in housing advice. All volunteers would need to be available to attend one of the following training session dates: October 23rd from 1-3pm or October 25th from 1-3pm.
Benefits to self

Benefits to others
You will be able to make a massive difference for students by supporting them in settling into living in Coventry. Having an approachable student face to support them in checking their contract before signing is all it could take to stop a student signing something they'll regret.
This will be a campus based volunteering opportunity so no transport is necessary.
