Volunteer Experience Manager

This opportunity is ongoing, with no end date.

This role is all about putting our volunteers first and ensuring their volunteer experience is the best it can be. If you are good with people this is role for you. You will manage your own diary and support a small team of volunteers. You will create simple systems which will help volunteers from the moment they first sign up until they are ready to move on. You will organise and update our Volunteer database. You will support volunteers continuous professional development and support them with training. You will help drive interaction on our communication methods. You will organise days out and events to rewards our volunteers. You create volunteer reward schemes. We are a startup community library with ambitions of creating an environment which is unique and authentic to any library the U.K has ever seen. In order to achieve this, we are looking for proactive candidates who value autonomy and leadership. We expect our volunteers to thrive by using their initiative and being resourceful. We give all volunteers the freedom to share ideas and contribute towards the direction of our library as we value the people who are the frontline of the service. We offer full training (so no previous experience is needed) and we support each volunteer to ensure they gain a return on investment of their time. You can choose shifts according to your availability so its flexible and can fit around your other commitments.

The ideal candidate would have:

  • Good organisational skills to manage your own diary 
  • Good communication skills to ensure messages reach our team and audience 
  • Good eye for detail 
  • Creativity and the ability to think outside of the box
  • Be proactive and use your initiative
  • Can do attitude and willingness to learn new things

This role is currently remote - PC and internet connection required

Training available

You will be given full training on every software which you use You will be offered to go training courses throughout the year You will be given induction training to get you up to speed

Time commitment 1-2 hours per week we are very flexible you can do work on site or off site for your own suitability
