Throughout the week we have a number of different activities/training sessions for both our recreational and competitive members.
We do accomodate for field events in athletics, however we didn't have any members who participated in these events last year so do not panic if you can't see have no members left who particpated in these events so do not panic if you can't see your event on the list above, as we will be able to work out training sessions for you if required.
- Monday: Circuit training session (6:30-7:30pm) - Location = Priory Hall
- Tuesday:
- Endurance session (6:30-8:30pm) - Location = Warwick University Campus
- Sprint session (6-8pm) - Location = Warwick University Athletics Track
- Wednesday: Sports society social night, where there will be a theme planned each week for our club! Look out for announcements on our Instagram and group chats!
- Thursday:
- Endurance session (6:30-8:30pm) - Location = Warwick University Campus
- Sprint session (6-8pm or 7:15-9:15pm) - Location = Warwick University Athletics Track
- Saturday: Coventry Parkrun @ War Memorial Park (9am start) if there is interest, or a Saturday training session for distance runners if being run by our coach.
- Sunday:
- Group run where we will aim to organise multiple groups to run varying distances catering for all members.
- Sprint training session (if prescribed by coach)
All our training sessions are done with coaches from Coventry Godiva Harriers (local athletics club). We train not only to improve our selves and have fun but to also prepare for races such as the BUCS Championships, where we represent Coventry University against fellow athletes from other universities across the country!
Travel to training is organised through members sharing lifts with those that have a car in Coventry.
N.B. For sprinters, this year we are going to be working with a new sprint coach from Coventry Godiva Harriers. Depending on the number of sprinters we have this year will determine when the training will take place after discussing with our coach. Information will be provided as soon as possible once we know numbers and training times are decided.
Furthermore, for field athletes we are working to organise sessions for you train aswell, and will update you as soon as possible when there is an update.
