Jessica Jane Clement at Coventry University Students' Union Square One venue

TV Presenter Jessica Jane Clement with our SHAG week tshirt

The world isn’t perfect. We know that. You know that. But how do you change it? We can help you make a start. Coventry University Students' Union (CUSU) will support you, and other students, in informing, educating and changing the behaviour and ideas of those around us. We work on areas ranging from promoting healthier physical and mental health for all students through to equal rights for women, disabled, LGBT, black, minority and ethnic students.

They're your campaigns though, not ours. We'll give you toolkits, featuring key-messages and resources, and then we'll support you in developing your own ideas and campaign strategies. You'll then be free to target the areas you feel most passionate about, or promote the area of work you feel is most relevant - think of it like a campaign version of the Edinburgh Fringe, with lots of students doing different things at the same time but all towards the same goal. All we ask is that you let us know what you're doing - that way we can tell other students so they can see your work, take part or help out if they have similar goals. This section will feature your work as well as information on what's on and how you can get further involved.

If there's an issue we're not currently campaigning on but you think we should be, email us and we'll see what we can do.

All students are welcome to take part and to bring their skills to the campaigns team - from photographers, illustrators and writers through to members of CUSU's various sports and societies. Our campaigns are a great way to develop your skills, meet new people and help to make the world a better place. Whatever you want to do, email us and we'll find you a spot in our team.
