International Women's Day

International Women's Day celebrates celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women.

The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender parity. Significant activity is witnessed worldwide as groups come together to celebrate women's achievements or rally for women's equality.

Poetry Slam & Open Mic

Join Community & Inclusion and the CU Gender Equality Society, for an evening of poetry, music, prizes and food.

We will be exploring how we can create a world free of bias, stereotypes and discrimination. A world that's diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated.

Femigami Workshop

Embrace your body through the art of paper folding!

These popular Feminist Origami workshops are fantastic for students looking to have fun while reflecting on the importance of body positivity, shaking stigma and empowering women. 

You'll need:

  • A4 paper or origami paper
  • Pen, biro, pencil
  • Any decorations you have at home (i.e colourful felt-tips, stickers, wool etc)

This year's theme is Break The Bias. Imagine a world free of stereotypes and discrimination, a world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive, where difference is valued and celebrated.
