School Rep Personal Statement

I am a 2nd year Medical and Pharmacological Sciences student and have been a course rep for the academic years 2016/17 and 2017/18. I am involved in the Krishna Consciousness Society at the university and the Food For All programme charity outreach. I have a good rapport with fellow students and staff members, which is why I believe I would be able to give justice to the role as I lead by example. I am driven, organised and my role as a Language Tutor with Linguae Mundi has enabled me to obtain a staff perspective to academia which will enable a better understanding and approach to situations from both sides. My aim for the year 2018/19 will be to increase the size of the Student Rep community within the school and increase communication between courses and levels. Currently as there are not reps across all courses and levels some students are unaware that forums are a platform where they can raise issues. Therefore, I would like to introduce an integrated platform where students from all levels interact and learn from each other.
