My name is Minal Shah and I am currently a first year BA Digital Media Student and Course Rep. I have been given the position of Senior Course Rep for Media and Performing Arts commencing this September. I now aspire to take on the role of a School Rep. Previously, I have obtained multiple leadership awards and believe this role will allow me to develop and apply my existing skills. I feel that our faculty is predominantly course focused and we do not get an opportunity to collaborate with others on different courses. I believe cross collaboration to be a key skill as we will all have to work with people in different fields within our industry. Therefore, with this opportunity, I would aim to create a way in which all students can work with each other, regardless of their course. This would encourage students to learn key skills such as software, editing and photography techniques, having the chance to meet new students with interests alike yours and get the most out of their university experience.
