About the event

2019 is in full swing and Comedy Central Live is back. Bringing you a great night filled with rib tickeling laughs.

The first three acts for the night have been announced and is looking to be an amazing evening-

Your compere for the evening is the very entertaining Joe Wells. Joe started off as a writer and through this branched into comedy. A multi award winning comedian, some of his accolades include: ‘Comedy Central Funniest Student 2010’ and ‘The Portsmouth Guide Award for Best Comedy 2014’. He has been highly praised by the media, the Guardian has defined him as being ‘A Star of the Future’ and British Comedy Guide described him as being ‘A skilled Jokesmith’. He has worked alongside some huge acts such as Frankie Boyle, opening on some of his Leicester Square 2015 dates. Joe Wells will guide you through this night of laughs.

The first act up is Lulu Popplewell. She had an incredible 2018, where she has been a finalist on ‘Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year Award 2018’ and ‘Chortle Student Comedy Award 2018’. Funny women have just named her as ‘One to Watch’, and with her unique material she will have you in stiches. We are hugely excited to be welcoming her to Coventry. Fun fact: Lulu played Dasiy in Love Actually, Emma Thompson’s daughter, who famously played the FIRST lobster in the nativity.

The second act of the night is Richard Gadd. A Scottish comedian, Richard was first highly recognised in 2011 when he was a finalist in the Chortle Comedy awards. Since then he has gone on to be the winner of the sought after Edinburgh Comedy award in 2016 with his show ‘Monkey See Monkey Do’. He is also an actor and has appear on TV shows such as Clique and Vicious alongside well known actor Sir Ian McKellen. The media have been very complimentary of Richard, with The Telegraph describing his act as ‘Deserving standing ovations’. With his raw material, brilliant delivery and honesty he will have you in roaring with laugher.

The final act of the night is Jake Lambert. Starting on Twitter he branched into comedy and has been highly successful. In 2015 he was English comedian of the Year, and winner of Magners New Comedian of the Year as well in 2015. In 2018 he made his TV debut appearing on Comedy Central Live, from the Comedy Store. Chortle have described him as having 'a quirky personality ideal for comedy'. Jake Lambert is a great comedian who will have you laughing right to the end of the evening, making the 2nd February an unmissable evening.

Student tickets start from only £5 and is a limted supply so buy now before it is too late.

We hope to see you there.
