About the event

The BAME Student Community have once again worked with Coventry City Council to be involved in this years Holocaust Memorial Day.
Alongside your student leaders, we have prepared a speech which will be delivered in front of the city at the event. Our speech has a focus on the multiple genocides around the world including the Cambodian, Bosnian and Rwandan genocides, as well as focusing on how CUSU aim to combat discrimination in every form.

The event will be held in Broadgate, near the Godiva Statue, and will include:

  • Music performed by Coventry Music Brass Quartet
  • Coventry City Council Choir - The choir will be singing a Jewish song called Eli Eli
  • Poems - Read by Coventry Young Ambassadors
