A group of students jumping over some rocks by the sea. New scholarships available to study and work

The Turing Scheme provides grants for students at all levels to undertake life-changing international opportunities overseas. This funding is available for both study and work placements. For the current academic year 2021-2022, The Turing Scheme has reduced the minimum duration to 14 days (usually a minimum of 28 days have to be spent outside of the country). And the maximum duration of the placement, supported by the Turing Scheme funding is 12 months.

As part of the Scheme, students can receive the Turing funding to support them while they are abroad. Students who identify as coming from a disadvantaged background or having special educational needs and disabilities will also receive an enhanced cost of living grant and an additional travel grant. This would mean a minimum of £120 per week for a standard cost of living grant, or if the student meets the criteria for the enhanced cost of living grant rate they would get an uplift to £147.50 per week. More information on grant rates and requirements can be found here Turing Scheme (sharepoint.com)

The Students can apply for our Short Turing Experience Placement (STEP) Programmes. All relevant information gets regularly updated on our STEP Programmes page.

There is also a helpful short video explaining the Turing Scheme as well.
