I'm Jemma and I'm the FBL faculty officer for 2020/2021. I'm 20 years old and in my second year studying Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. I'm originally from South Africa but I've been living in the UK for 13 years.
I love to cook and bake, I even have my own small business which sells delicious brownie boxes! I love food, music, fitness, movies, snacking and meeting new people.
I'm very passionate about mental health, wellness, creating safe spaces for others and will do my very best to bring this into my role as faculty officer.
My contact email is firstname.lastname@example.org
Being a Faculty Rep
Faculty Reps lead the academic representation of students in their Faculties. They work with senior academic staff to resolve problems facing all students there. They also work with the School Reps to resolve problems raised at a School level.
Faculty Reps are invited to attend meetings of the Faculty Board and Faculty QLT (Quality in Learning and Teaching) committees in their Faculty. Outside of their Faculties, they are members of CUSU Executive, CUSU Council and the CUSU Education Committee, all of which meet regularly during term time.
If you want to speak to Jemma about your academic experience, email email@example.com
