Marketing and Social Media Support Volunteer

This opportunity takes place from 09 Mar 2021.

As a marketing and social media support volunteer you will be seeking to create stronger links with the local community and publicizing the excellent work of CIAS. You will be developing our social media platforms Instagram, Facebook and Twitter. Opportunity to develop self-confidence, PR and marketing skills .Our Marketing and Social Media Volunteers will provide support to the Services Director in undertaking this work.

Main Responsibilities  

  • General administrative support including data entry maintenance  and updating of mailing lists 

  • Social media – devising and posting content on our twitter/ Instagram and Facebook pages 

  • General assistance to the events programme including attendance at key events  

  • Updating third party website listings 

  • Assisting with the production of publicity materials including press releases and printed materials 

  • Assisting with marketing distribution including mail-outs of marketing material  

  • Undertaking research into potential audience groups   

  • Encouraging others to fundraise or volunteer for us   

  • Inform people about the work of CIAS through writing a Newsletter together with the Volunteer Coordinator.

We can be flexible regarding hours. However a commitment of approx 3 hours a week will be required

Training available

We offer a comprehensive induction training including equality and diversity; safeguarding; confidentiality. We also further training on the overview of welfare benefits.
