So… I want to run in the CUSU Autumn Elections. What roles can I run for?
As a Coventry University or CU Group student we have lots of opportunities for you to run in the elections and lead the direction of Coventry University Students’ Union for the upcoming year! The diagram below shows the 4 different “sets” of elections taking place this autumn.
As the role of President is a full time position, you must have finished your studies by January in order to be eligible. Or be taking a leave of study from January until end of June. You may also run for an NUS Delegate position alongside this.
You can run for up to 3 roles from the other sets, 1 from each set providing you are eligible to do so. You must be a student for at least the next 6 months in order to run for these roles.
If you have any questions regarding sets of roles and what you are eligible for the please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Not every student can run for every role though, some have specific requirements. For example, you must be a self-defining BAME student to run for BAME Community Officer and you must be a Postgraduate Taught Student to run for Postgraduate Taught Officer. Details on each of the roles and their requirements can be found at http://www.cusu.org/elections or visit office 1.24 on the 1st floor of The Hub to chat to a current Sabbatical Officer.
