My name is Millie Mac and I am the Vice President for Sport and Wellbeing at Coventry University.

My role mainly involves looking after the sports clubs and helping run campaigns and raise awareness for wellbeing across the group. So far this year a lot of my focus has been on one of the biggest sporting events in the calendar, Varsity! This is the fierce competition between Coventry and Warwick. It sees them share 38 events and fight for the title of Varsity winner 2019. It runs over the last weekend of February, 22nd-24th and is one of the best events in sport. Tickets can be bought online here.

One of the top 10 things we planned to achieve this year was to get a female Varsity showcase, to ensure that sport remains diverse and inclusive at Coventry. The closing showcase for Varsity 2019 is Netball, which is a great achievement.

Our ‘This Girl Can’ campaign was also a success during November, which saw Coventry sporting women come together and celebrate playing sport.

I am so proud to represent Coventry and the sport department this way and I hope that we can come together and beat Warwick this year!
