On the 31st October, Coventry's Festival of Running will be taking place, and there are a few ways you can get involved. This event is an incredible opportunity to engage in the local community and raise money for charities of your choice. In previous years, runners have raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for more than 50 charities. Anyone can sign up to take part in either the 5k or Half Marathon. There's also the accesible option of a 2.5k wheelchair race. If you want to take part in the event you can find further details at Coventry Festival of Running | 31st October 2021 (enjoycoventry.com).
If you don’t want to take part in a race but would still like to experience the event, there are many volunteering opportunities available. These include customer service, marshalling, event set-up and de-rig as well as being there on the day to welcome and guide people. If you are interested in finding out more about the volunteering opportunities available see here: Opportunity Details | Coventry University Students' Union (cusu.org).
We think this is a great opportunity to take part in something in your local city as well as to give back to a local, national, or international charity. We hope to see you there!
