The 2022/23 Spring Elections are now open for nominations! Find out more here...
Today marks the start of nominations for Spring Elections 2022/23! All students can stand for election to a range of part-time and full-time roles within Coventry University Students’ Union.
Elected student officers have the power to shape the student experience. Officers and Reps are there to take student feedback and speak to University Leadership on your behalf. Fees, accommodation, virtual learning, clubs and societies, events, mentoring, marking, extensions, emergency funding... Officers work on all these issues and many more.
If you want to change something, running to be an Officer is the most powerful way to make that change.
If you want to continue someone else's great work, running to be an Officer is the best way to ensure that.
If you want to create something new for students, running to be an Officer is the best way to get started.
As part of the candidate development programme, you'll receive support and training throughout, and you'll be eligible for a Silver Leadership Award on completion. The process of running for an Officer role is a great skill development opportunity and we're here to ensure you get the support you need.
There are four full-time roles in total: President, Education Officer, Activities Officer and Community Officer. Find out more about the full-time roles. These roles represent students from all Coventry University campuses.
There are three different part-time roles available. Each faculty at Coventry campus is looking for a Faculty Officer, each UK campus needs a Campus Officer and there is also a PGR Officer position. Find out more about the part-time roles. These Officers are expected to study alongside the role.
Nominations for these roles are welcomed until 11th February 2022 – so make sure you nominate yourself now! Once the nomination period is complete, candidates are expected to run an online campaign (due to COVID 19 uncertainties) and voting will begin across the CU Group from 8th March 2022.
